The management of the 'One Heart' organization met with the Deputy Director of the 'Hadassah Ein Kerem' Medical Center, Prof. Saar Hashabiya.
The meeting was dedicated to expressing gratitude for 18 years of continuous charitable activity by hundreds of the organization's volunteers within the walls of the hospital, and to concluding on expanding cooperation for the benefit of the hospitalized and their families.
In addition, the visit was intended to closely examine the organization's vast scope of activity at the hospital, along with laying milestones for expanding future collaborations.
At the beginning of the meeting, the leaders of the organization presented Prof. Hashabiya with an extensive overview of the charity work that has been operating there for nearly two decades. For 18 years, hundreds of volunteers from 'One Heart' have been working in the various departments every day, on Shabbats and holidays, bringing light, joy and immense support to children, patients and their families in the most difficult moments.
Prof. Saar Hashabiya, who is intimately familiar with the organization's work, expressed excitement and gratitude on behalf of the hospital management and medical staff.
Prof. Hashabiya emphasized in his remarks that beyond the professional medical care provided at Hadassah, true and complete medicine requires mental resilience and joy - which the volunteers of "One Heart" have been bringing with inspiring dedication for 18 years.
During the meeting, the parties discussed ways to improve and streamline the support provided to hospitalized patients. The organization's management and Prof. Hashabiya agreed on a series of understandings, new initiatives, and collaborations that will allow for the expansion of logistical and medical assistance, and provide a broader and faster response to the changing needs of patients and their families.
The management of 'In One Heart' stated at the end of the visit: "We found in Prof. Saar Hashabiya a true partner - a doctor of great stature who, in addition to his uncompromising professionalism, sees the patient's soul at eye level.".
The visit concluded with great hope and a sense of shared mission, knowing that the strong connection between Hadassah's medical professionalism and the huge hearts of the 'One Heart' volunteers will continue to lead to tremendous achievements in saving lives and alleviating the suffering of Israeli patients.
