National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir today (Monday) addressed the planned protest demonstration on Thursday in front of the offices of the Bedouin Authority in the Negev - saying that he will not change the enforcement policy against illegal construction.
""I was informed that on Thursday morning a huge demonstration is expected to take place in front of the offices of the Bedouin Authority in the Negev, in protest of the enforcement and demolition policy that I am leading.
""I have a clear message to the protesters: You will not deter me. I will continue to lead a determined policy against illegal construction in the Negev.".
According to him, "To date, over 5,000 illegal structures have been demolished, and areas the size of Tel Aviv and Givatayim combined have been returned to the State of Israel.".
He emphasized: "Anyone who builds illegally should know one thing - illegal construction will not pay off, and a house built illegally is in danger of demolition. This is my policy, and it will continue. No demonstration will change it.".
