A daycare center owner from Kiryat Gat is suspected of orchestrating a break-in to the daycare center in order to hide photographic materials that the parents asked to see, after they heard recordings of the daycare center teachers and assistant cursing and yelling at their children.
In one of the recordings, which came to the attention of 'Kan News', the aide is heard commenting about one of the girls: "She's already been beaten on the hands." In another recording, the kindergarten teacher commented about a girl: "Bitch, I have to change her now" - and the aide replied: "Throw him in the crib.".
According to a report this morning (Sunday) on Channel 2, the next day the parents asked to watch the recordings, as is customary.
The daycare owner invited them to the daycare, but then told them that during the night the daycare had been broken into and the recording device had been stolen.
The parents, who did not believe the story, filed a police complaint on suspicion of abuse, and police officers arrived at the kindergarten to collect evidence.
The garden owner was questioned with a warning, and is also suspected of obstructing investigation proceedings. She was sent to house arrest.
The police stated: "Upon receiving the report about the incident, an investigation was opened in which a variety of actions were taken, including collecting testimonies and collecting evidence and findings. Naturally, and due to the fact that this is an ongoing investigation, we cannot provide further details. The investigation is continuing with the aim of reaching the truth and bringing all those involved to justice.".
