Following the difficult events in Lebanon, the IDF carried out a wave of strikes this morning (Friday) and the Air Force attacked infrastructure of the terrorist organization Hezbollah in the Bekaa region in deep Lebanon.
The IDF spokesman clarified: "In response to repeated violations of the ceasefire by the terrorist organization Hezbollah, which continues to promote and carry out terrorist plots against IDF forces.".
But the political system demands a more decisive response.
Despite Vice President J.D. Vance's words against Ministers Smotrich and Ben Gvir, the two are not at all scared.
The Finance Minister wrote on the X network: "A difficult morning. Vaydom Aharon. Time to speak with fire. Open the gates of hell.".
Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir also called for a broad attack throughout Lebanon: "With all due respect to the Americans, Israel must make it clear to the entire world that the blood of our sons and the security of our citizens is not in vain. All of Lebanon must burn.".
""Our supreme duty is to protect the citizens of Israel and IDF soldiers, and this commitment takes precedence over any other consideration.".
""I tell the Prime Minister, even in our meetings: For every tear of an Israeli mother, a thousand Lebanese mothers must cry.
""Enough with the ping-pong. In the Middle East, you don't win with measured responses and containment - you have to go crazy. Erase. Defeat terrorism.".
Prime Minister Netanyahu responded at noon: "My instructions are clear - Israel will not tolerate attacks on our soldiers or our territory, and it will exact a very heavy price from Hezbollah for these attacks.
""The IDF will act to thwart any threat to our forces and territory. As I made clear unequivocally, including yesterday: Israel will remain in the security zone in southern Lebanon as long as necessary to protect the northern communities.".
