Last night (Wednesday), at around 8:55 PM, a report was received at the ZAKA hotline about a 45-year-old man who was found lifeless in his home on Bnei Or Street in Be'er Sheva, in a state of advanced decomposition, long after his death.
ZAKA volunteers from the Negev Region - Beer Sheva team were called to the scene and worked for hours to honor the deceased and collect the remains.

""We were called to a very difficult scene of a 45-year-old man who lived alone. Neighbors who smelled a strong odor called the emergency services, who broke into the house and located the deceased long after his death. ZAKA volunteers from the Beer Sheva team worked for long hours to care for the dignity of the deceased and collect the findings.""
Haim Weingarten, ZAKA's Deputy Director of Operations, said: "This is the third case in the last 24 hours of a person being found in his home long after his death. Unfortunately, this is a phenomenon that is expanding and we encounter it again and again all over the country. We must not remain indifferent. A phone call, a short visit or a knock on the door can make all the difference and save a life.""
