Brigadier General (res.) Ofer Winter published a harsh video today (Wednesday) in response to Yashar Party Chairman Gadi Eisenkot, after the former Chief of Staff revealed information on his X Network account about a military operation that did not take place.
Winter said in the video: "I saw Eisenkot's response to Netanyahu and it disgusted me. Gadi, I was in dozens of sensitive security discussions, including between you and the prime minister.".
Winter, who previously served as the military secretary to Defense Ministers Avigdor Lieberman and Benjamin Netanyahu, added: "I suggest to whoever was the Chief of Staff not to start opening up now who was afraid, who was not afraid, who acted, who did not act and in what way.".
Winter criticized the very disclosure of security details: "In order not to harm the security of the state, not to start talking about the names of the perpetrators. It is important to remain calm even at this time. The security of the state is more important than petty politics.".
Winter's attack came after yesterday Eisenkot, a failed Chief of Staff, wrote a direct appeal to the Prime Minister on social media - in which he addressed what was happening in the northern sector.
""Netanyahu, I suggest that in the upcoming working meeting with the incoming head of the Mossad, the first topic will be Operation 'Clear as Wine,'" Eisenkot wrote. "Explain to him why you did not approve in the cabinet my recommendation to authorize the 7th Brigade, under the command of Roman Gofman and additional forces, to maneuver on the ground in Syria.".
He also wrote: "If you are already dealing with Syria - maybe you should tell him about another case where we discussed threats from there and your fear of them. In the meantime, I recommend that you stop gossiping, hating, and arguing at state events, in a desperate attempt to hide your failure in Lebanon.".
