
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced today (Sunday) his decision to appoint Shmuel Ben Ezra to the position of Chief of the National Security Staff - NSC, and Advisor to the Prime Minister for National Security.
Shmuel Ben-Ezra brings with him over thirty years of experience in protecting the state's security. He headed the project to develop the 'Arrow 3' interceptor missile, which won the Israel Defense Prize.
In his last position at the Shin Bet, he served for four years as head of the Operations and Cyber Technology Division - equivalent to the rank of major general.
Laban Ezra has a bachelor's degree in applied physics with honors, a master's degree in applied physics, a master's degree in business administration with honors, and a master's degree in political science in the field of national security with honors.
He is a graduate of the National Security College.
