The Chairman of the Central Elections Committee, Deputy President of the Supreme Court Justice Noam Solberg, and the Deputy Director General of the Elections Committee, Din Livne, held a meeting today (Sunday) with the Head of the General Security Service, David Zini - who responded to the invitation of the Chairman of the Committee to discuss the service's preparations for the election campaign for the 26th Knesset.

According to the Elections Committee's announcement, the meeting dealt with cooperation between the committee and the service, and the assistance provided by the service to the committee for the purpose of preserving democracy, continuing the pattern of action established in previous election campaigns.

The chairman of the Elections Committee noted that he congratulates the General Security Service for its commitment and willingness to assist the committee and its contribution to maintaining the purity of the elections.

The Deputy Director General of the Elections Committee noted that under the direction of the head of the service, the service was fully committed to assisting the committee in the defense and fortification of Israeli democracy, and in preventing and thwarting foreign influence.
