In recent days, the IDF has introduced hundreds of 'dagger'-type smart sights for personal weapons into Lebanon - with the aim of improving shooting at drones in southern Lebanon.
According to a report in 'Kan News', sources in the ground forces confirmed that the 'dagger' sights are not new, but until now they have been distributed to fighters, mainly in infantry units, sparingly.
Now the IDF is sharing its intentions widely, after they began additional procurement.
This is an electro-optical sight, which includes a digital camera, a shooter's monitor, a fire control system and a firing computer, which significantly increases shooting accuracy, mainly against moving targets and at night.
The sight knows how to lock onto a target, signaling to the fighter when to pull the trigger and hit the target.
