With the appointment of Bnei Brak Mayor Yisrael Dranger's chief of staff to the position of political leader of the 'central faction' of Gur Hasidism, Mordechai Bruiner, an entrepreneur and businessman, one of the senior Gur Hasidism activists, was recruited to the ranks of the city's leadership - to replace Dranger in the position.
According to the municipality's spokeswoman, "Bruyner, one of the most knowledgeable and influential figures in the sector's needs, joins the mayor's office at the top management level as a personality who brings with him extensive strategic experience and will assist in realizing the mayor's vision for the welfare of the city's residents.".
Mayor Hanoch Seibert said he welcomes Bruiner's joining. "The connection between us is rooted in decades of deep acquaintance and joint work in various public arenas. I am confident that his extensive experience and proven abilities will lead us to new achievements for the residents of Bnei Brak.".
According to the municipality, the new appointment "marks the commitment of the Mayor's Office to placing key figures of stature at the forefront of public activity and the continued development of the city of Bnei Brak on all levels.".
It should be noted that Bruiner was recently appointed as a member of the city's Gur Hasidic Committee, which Council member Attorney Shlomo Elbaum called a "call committee.".
