In accordance with Home Front Command guidelines and the security situation, the celebration in Meron was canceled: The police, Northern District, Traffic Division, and Border Guard fighters have completed the operational deployment to ensure public peace and security on the mountain.
Northern District Commander, Chief Meir Eliyahu, opened the main phase of Operation Meron 2026 - by calling on the police: "Remember, we are not at war with the public, we are here for it.".
According to the police, the forces are deployed throughout the mountain, on the roads leading to the settlement of Meron and on all the main traffic routes leading to Meron, regulating and directing traffic and preventing unauthorized vehicles and pedestrians from entering the area of the settlement of Meron.

The police called on the public to "show personal responsibility and mutual responsibility, and to celebrate this year's Rashbi celebration in homes, synagogues, and within the communities where they live.
