Three women aged 30-40 from the village of Manda were killed today (Sunday) in a serious car accident that occurred on Highway 77, near the Zarzir Interchange.
The fatal accident occurred involving a truck, a minibus and several other private vehicles.
Numerous police forces and traffic accident investigators arrived at the scene and began investigating the circumstances of the accident.
Ahmed Omar, Yair Nahum and Moshe Peretz, United Hatzalah paramedics: "This is a serious accident involving a truck, a shuttle vehicle and three private vehicles. Unfortunately, three women were pronounced dead at the scene due to the severe injuries they suffered. In addition, we provided medical assistance to a 40-year-old woman whose condition is classified as serious, to a 35-year-old woman whose condition is classified as moderate, and to eight lightly injured people - some of whom were evacuated in United Hatzalah ambulances.".
Firefighters from the Nof HaGalil station were called to the scene and are working to rescue those trapped. The firefighters are carrying out complex rescue operations between the truck and the two private vehicles that were severely damaged.
Seven people have been killed on Israeli roads since last night. Earlier tonight, a 20-year-old man and another person were killed in a serious car accident that occurred on Rehavam Zeevi Boulevard in Rishon LeZion.
Three other people were injured in the accident, including a 25-year-old man who was seriously injured and two 18-year-old women who were moderately injured. Police traffic investigators in the Lowlands have opened an investigation to clarify the circumstances of the incident.
In another accident during the night, soldier Netanel Ayala from Ofra, a 20-year-old motorcyclist, was killed after being hit by a vehicle on Highway 60, near Rachel in Samaria. MDA medics and paramedics who were called to the scene pronounced him dead after attempting CPR.
In an accident in Ein Hatzva on Highway 90, a 50-year-old man was killed and was rescued from his vehicle by firefighters while lifeless.
