National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and Police Commissioner Danny Levy agreed to launch a large-scale enforcement operation in south Tel Aviv and Petah Tikva, following the recent violent incidents on the streets of the cities - and the murder of our comrade Binyamin Zalka, the late.
The decision was made at the end of an emergency meeting held by the minister with the Commissioner, during which it was decided to immediately implement a "zero tolerance for violence" policy and focus on youth crime.
As part of the operation, the districts will be reinforced with hundreds of Border Guard soldiers from the National Guard, alongside the deployment of overt and covert forces in hot spots, recreation centers, and public parks, with an emphasis on the areas of southern Tel Aviv and Petah Tikva.
As part of the operation, the Commissioner-General directed that all intelligence and investigative tools be activated to ensure swift justice, carry out targeted arrests of perpetrators of crime, and increase activity against youth gangs that terrorize citizens.
