Hezbollah Secretary-General Naim Qassem sent a message to the government in Beirut today (Monday) that the terrorist organization will not give up its weapons or the right to its own defense.
""We declare our absolute refusal to any form of direct negotiations with the occupying Zionist entity. The attempt to drag Lebanon into such talks is a grave national sin and a betrayal of the principles of our sovereignty. It is a surrender and a capitulation that have no place.".
""The authorities in Beirut are making a historic mistake. They are acting without cards in hand and are giving Israel and its partner America free concessions. We call on the government to immediately cancel the planned talks; they will not bring security, but only humiliation.".
""The resistance chose confrontation to protect Lebanon and its people from the 'Greater Israel' project. We will remain on the ground until our last breath. Any Zionist aggression will be met with an appropriate response, and our fighters are with their finger on the trigger. The weapons of the resistance are intended to repel aggression and defend our existence, and we will not give up our weapons or our defense.".
