As part of the Golani Brigade's operations to remove threats south of the front line of defense, more than 50 terrorist infrastructures have been destroyed in recent days, including an underground compound that Hezbollah used to attack IDF forces and the State of Israel.
During a targeted raid by the forces in the Adshet al-Kutsair area, a warehouse containing numerous weapons was located inside a children's room.
Among the weapons found were: explosives, Kalashnikov-type weapons, grenades, RPG rockets, machine guns, ammunition and combat equipment.
A company commander in the Golani Patrol shared: "We are a Golani Patrol force. We found here among the children's rooms, the beds, in the rooms, an abnormal amount of enemy weapons. Who, under the cover of the toys and beds in the children's rooms, uses weapons against our forces, hides and defends himself behind the children's rooms and everything you see here, in fact.".
The IDF emphasizes that this finding is further proof of Hezbollah's cynical and systematic use of the civilian population in Lebanon, turning residential homes and bedrooms into military outposts and weapons depots, in order to carry out terrorist plots against the citizens of the State of Israel and IDF forces.
In another incident yesterday, terrorists launched an explosive-laden drone at brigade forces operating in southern Lebanon, south of the front line of defense. Shortly afterwards, the drone was intercepted.
