The People of Israel are alive: Argentine President Javier Millay concluded his visit to Israel with a moving prayer at the Western Wall.

Upon completion of his official visit and before departing back to his country, the Argentine president arrived this evening (Tuesday) for prayer and a visit to the Western Wall.

The President offered a special prayer for peace between the states of Israel and Argentina and for the continued strengthening of the courageous friendship between the leaders and countries.

During the visit, the CEO of the Western Wall Heritage Foundation, Mordechai (Suli) Eliav, presented the President with original ashes from the Second Temple period that were recently discovered at the bottom of a purification bath from the late Second Temple period - the President was very excited to touch the ancient ashes.

At the end of the exciting visit, the President of Argentina said: "This visit to Israel at this time was very important to me! When friends are in a difficult situation, this is the time to come and support them! Just as the Maccabees won in the past, so the people of Israel will defeat their enemies now! The Jews are the people of God!""

He added: "Here I feel close to God!""
