Embarrassment for the IDF: Despite the army's attempts to define the alarms heard this evening (Tuesday) in the settlements along the confrontation line as "false detections" - it turns out that there was significant offensive activity by Hezbollah against our forces and residents of the north, violating the ceasefire.

The first incident involved the launch of an unmanned aerial vehicle from Lebanon into Israeli territory. An Iron Dome interceptor was launched at the vehicle.

At the same time, Hezbollah launched rockets at an IDF force operating inside Lebanese territory. This was a targeted launch at fighters on an operational mission across the border.

Initially, an IDF spokesman said: "Following the alerts that were activated a short time ago in the Kfar Yuval and Maayan Baruch areas, this is a false identification.".

Journalists criticized the IDF spokesman for the incorrect report.

Media person Almog Booker from Channel 12 responded: "The alerts were activated following the launch of rockets by Hezbollah towards our forces operating in southern Lebanon. I'm sorry, this is not false. And this incident cannot be defined as false. It is a real incident.".

He emphasized: "A violation of the ceasefire. The residents in the north don't believe in anything anyway, so transparency is the minimum.".

45 minutes later, an IDF spokesman said: "The Hezbollah terrorist organization recently launched several rockets at IDF forces operating south of the front defense line, in the Rab al-Taltin area in southern Lebanon. Within a few minutes, the IDF closed the circle and attacked the launcher from which the rockets were fired.".

An IDF spokesman explained the mistake: "Contrary to the report of a false identification, further examination indicates that the alerts that were activated in Kfar Yuval and Maayan Baruch were apparently activated following the interception of an unmanned aerial vehicle that was launched from Lebanon before it crossed into Israeli territory. These are blatant violations of the ceasefire agreement.".

Israeli Ambassador to the US Yechiel Leiter said in response to Hezbollah's rocket fire: "While Israel and the United States work tirelessly for a better future for Israel and Lebanon, Hezbollah is violating the ten-day ceasefire declared by President Trump. Let us defend ourselves from those who seek to harm, kill, and prevent peace.".

Hezbollah took responsibility in an official statement for its attack on the north: "We attacked an enemy army position in the village of Giladi with a barrage of rockets and a swarm of attack drones. This is in response to more than 200 flagrant violations by the Israeli enemy since the ceasefire went into effect.".
