The US military seized an oil tanker in the middle of the sea today (Tuesday) that is under sanctions and linked to Iran.
American forces swooped down on the ship from helicopters and took control of it.
A statement issued by US Central Command said: "We will stop the illegal networks and vessels that provide material support to Iran. International waters are not a haven for vessels subject to sanctions.".
""The War Department will continue to deny illegal elements and their vessels freedom of maneuver in the maritime domain.".
