An American delegation has brought forward its arrival in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, ahead of another round of talks with Iran.
Officials confirmed to Reuters that a team of American security personnel and officials had already landed in Islamabad tonight.
Some 20,000 security personnel were deployed in the Pakistani capital. Hotels and hostels in the area where the talks were held were evacuated, and public transportation was completely shut down.
On the other hand, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baqaie said at the weekly press briefing that currently his country has no plans to hold further talks with the US.
Bakay added arrogantly: "The United States does not learn its lessons from past incidents, and this will never lead to good results.".
A senior Iranian official told Reuters that the disputes over the nuclear program have not yet been resolved, and the gaps between the parties have not narrowed. He said that the continued US blockade of the Strait of Hormuz is harming the talks and making it difficult to reach an agreement.
