Important news for qualified phone users: The Science Committee today (Tuesday) approved for second and third reading a bill initiated by Deputy Minister of Communications Israel Eichler - to require the provision of government services also by telephone and not only by digital means.
Deputy Minister Eichler congratulated the committee members for their hard work in advancing and approving the legislation and expressed hope that the Knesset plenum will soon vote in favor of the law,
Eichler explained: "This is important legislation that helps ordinary citizens in the face of the oppressive government bureaucracy. Even those who use a phone as a minister have the right to receive government service like any other citizen.".
