Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is exploring the possibility of reserving former Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon and Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar in the top ten on the Likud list for the Knesset, as well as the chairman of the Local Government Center and mayor of Modi'in-Maccabim-Reut Haim Bivas.
According to a report today (Tuesday) by Dikla Aharon Shafran on Channel 2, Likud sources say that Netanyahu is expected to demand the reservation of eight or nine candidates on the Knesset list: three candidates in the top ten, two in the second ten, and at least three candidates in the third ten.
Moshe Kahlon reached a plea agreement for a reporting offense under the Securities Law, which will allow him to run in the elections if he decides to do so.
As for Saar, the assessment is that he will choose to use armor and not run in the party's primary elections.
According to the report, Netanyahu's entourage recently approached Ari Spitz, an IDF fighter who was critically injured in Gaza and lost his hand and both legs, with an offer to join the list.
Spitz underwent a recovery journey and even reached a peak on Independence Day.
