Knesset members from the Arab parties asked the Supreme Court to include them as petitioners in the left-wing petitions against the death penalty law for terrorists.
The law was passed at the initiative of the Otzma Yehudit party, led by Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir.
The applicants are: Ofer Kassif, Mansur Abbas, Walid Al-Huashla, Walid Taha and Sami Abu Shehadeh.
In their request, they wrote: "They have a public interest in the issues arising in the petition, given their involvement in the public and parliamentary discourse concerning the law that is the subject of the petition, including the 4-1 applicants who serve as members of Knesset. The inclusion of the applicants will contribute to presenting the full aspects arising from the petition, and will assist in the effective and complete clarification of the questions arising in it.".

Supporters of terrorism are rushing to stand up against the law that will put their fellow terrorists to death. When they are afraid - it's a sign that we are doing something good.
