In recent days, Prime Minister Netanyahu has attacked, in closed-door talks, Ofer Winter, who has not yet officially announced the establishment of a party or which party he will join ahead of the elections.
According to a report by Yuval Segev on Channel 13, Netanyahu recently claimed to several sources with whom he spoke that "Winter is closed with Lieberman after the elections, we must not worry about him within the right-wing bloc.".
On the other hand, the opposition believes that Winter's independent party could be a 'proxy' for Likud, which would prevent votes from flowing to the left bloc.
Ofer Winter said in response to the report: "I know the Prime Minister's environment well. I served under the Prime Minister for a whole year in a very sensitive position, as his right-hand man. Sometimes new people, in order to show that they are significant, step on someone else. I regret that. There are other ways to gain the Prime Minister's trust without lying and slandering. I refuse to play this game. It's a waste.".
The Likud party also rejected the publication: "The report is false from beginning to end.".
