The terrorist organization Hezbollah launched a large-scale swarm of drones yesterday (Tuesday) towards a target in northern Israel.

According to a report by Yinon Yatach Shalom on the i24 channel, a security source familiar with the details defined the incident as "the most powerful drone attack on Israel to date.".

  1. Last night in the afternoon, two waves of drone swarms were launched towards the northern border. In the first wave, 2 drones were launched towards IDF forces in southern Lebanon and injured two fighters (moderately and lightly). 2 additional drones were launched towards a target on the northern border and started a fire. The Air Force attempted to intercept several of them.
  2. Less than an hour later - another, more powerful wave: several drones (at least 6) were launched towards the same target inside Israeli territory and circled around it for long minutes, searching for the ideal impact point.
  3. A fighter told the i24 channel: "I saw two hit the target, within 5 seconds we spotted another one hovering between the buildings and looking for people. You see everything with your eyes. The coil of fiber, the drone and a huge explosive device.".
  4. This is the first time that a coordinated attack on a single target in Israeli territory has been identified - and the most extensive to date.
  5. According to a security source familiar with the incident: The main concern is the simultaneity of many drones. Even if you manage to capture two or three, there are others trying to tail you.
