Police officers from the Moriah Station in the Jerusalem District arrested a 45-year-old suspect from the settlement of Ali yesterday on suspicion of involvement in several burglaries and thefts from charity boxes in mikvehs throughout the city.
The suspect is suspected of stealing money from charity funds and payment machines placed on site.
Following investigative actions carried out at the Moriah station, the suspect was located and arrested by the police.
The suspect was transferred for questioning at the Moriah police station. Today (Sunday) he will be brought to the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court for a hearing on a request to extend his detention for further investigation.
