
Searches are underway today (Monday) in the Trapez Beach area of the Sea of Galilee, following a report of a missing man in his 40s.
According to the police report, officers from the Sea of Galilee Maritime Policing Unit, along with officers from the Northern District, a helicopter from the Air Force, and other rescue forces are currently operating after receiving a report of a man in his forties who apparently entered the water in the Sea of Galilee, left his belongings on Trapez Beach - and has since disappeared.
The Kinneret Cities Association control room reported that the association's supervision and enforcement unit is assisting the police forces with a supervision boat and a drone.
According to the union, the vacationer has been missing since the morning, and the unit's personnel are working in coordination with the other forces in the field to locate him.
United Hatzalah reported that the organization's boat, with paramedics from the Tiberias and Kinneret branches on board, has been assisting since this morning in the search for the missing person.
Additionally, additional paramedics are conducting searches on nearby beaches.
Yossi Oknin, head of the United Hatzalah branch in Tiberias: "At this stage, we are working with a United Hatzalah boat to locate him, while activating the sonar system (technology for navigating, mapping and detecting objects underwater using sound waves).".
