The IDF issued a clarification this evening (Sunday) following the injury of five Lebanese army soldiers, stating that the explosive device that exploded and injured the soldiers belonged to the terrorist organization Hezbollah and not to the IDF.
Earlier today, a Lebanese Army vehicle ran over an explosive device in southern Lebanon. As a result of the explosion, five Lebanese Army soldiers were injured.
The Lebanese army accused Israel of responsibility for the incident, claiming that five of its soldiers were injured following an Israeli attack in the Bint Jabal area in southern Lebanon.
However, after investigating the incident, an IDF spokesman stated that after an examination and contrary to the claims, it can be confirmed that this was not an IDF bomb.
According to the information the IDF has, it appears that this is a bomb belonging to the terrorist organization Hezbollah.
It was also reported that the incident took place in a wild area, outside the security zone in southern Lebanon, an area where IDF forces were not present at all.
