The total expenses for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's residences in 2025 amounted to 1,979,517 shekels.
This was announced today (Tuesday) in response to a Freedom of Information request from the Freedom of Information Movement.
Of the total amount, 165,000 shekels were used to purchase food, and 2,700 shekels of that were invested in "Wallet" deliveries in August 2025 alone. The report also states that approximately 95,000 shekels from the Prime Minister's Office budget were invested in cultivating the garden in Caesarea and 10,590 shekels in preventive treatment for roots that penetrate under the house. A payment of 63,033 shekels was completely blacked out and no details were provided about it.
In the first half of 2026, the dormitory's total expenses were 731,081 shekels, of which 53,584 shekels were for food purchases. 14,986 shekels were paid for replacing the bathtub in the Prime Minister's private residence on Gaza Street. 42,698 shekels were allocated for maintenance expenses and maintenance products, and another 4,657 shekels were for replacing thermostats in the residence in Caesarea.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office responded: "The data shows that overall spending during Netanyahu's term is significantly lower compared to the terms of office of previous prime ministers.
""During the year of former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett's term, current expenses totaled 1,370,362 shekels (excluding personnel and security expenses), while during the same period under Prime Minister Netanyahu, expenses totaled only 465,319 shekels (excluding personnel and security expenses) - less than a third.".
