Accurate intelligence information from the coordinator of the 'Arrow of Judah' unit in the Sha'ban district, about a vehicle bearing an Israeli license plate that intended to bring in illegal residents from the Judea and Samaria territories, led to a counter-insurgency operation, with the assistance of Border Police fighters in the Jerusalem Encirclement.
Early in the morning (Sunday), the suspicious vehicle, with many infiltrators inside, arrived from the direction of Judea and Samaria at the Mezmuriya crossing in the Jerusalem area.
The driver of the vehicle did not comply with the Border Guard soldiers' order to stop - and broke through the checkpoint, and later climbed over an obstacle and was arrested.
At this point, the driver of the vehicle managed to escape. He is known to the police and efforts are underway to locate him.
Eleven illegal residents were caught in the vehicle and were arrested and taken for questioning to the Yehuda Region's "Arrow" unit.
