A couple from central Israel who sold their car yesterday (Monday) to a family from Bnei Brak were surprised to discover that some of the money they received as part of the transaction had messages written on them against the recruitment of ultra-Orthodox people into the IDF.
According to a report on Channel 12, the handwritten inscriptions on the bills included, among other things, the following: "We will die rather than be drafted" and "Thanks to the Torah and the media, the world will be saved.".
The deal to sell the luxury car was completed with a couple from Bnei Brak, who paid part of the amount in cash. It was only after the parties parted ways and the car owners examined the bills that they noticed the messages written on them.
The two considered the delivery of the bills to a secular family, which is expected to send its children to serve in the IDF, an insulting and outrageous act.
The couple told Channel 12: "Shock, unpleasant and insensitive.".
