
In all Torah schools in ultra-Orthodox cities, teachers receive 'congratulatory notes' on Sundays, signed by parents and grandparents - after they tested the students on Shabbat on the material taught during the week.
But a surprise awaited the Talmud Torah teacher at the "Tzemach Tzadik" Vizhnitz school in the city of Ashdod on Sunday this week.
The grandson of the Rebbe of Vizhnitz, the boy Mordechai Hagar, returned to the Talmud Torah and presented the teacher with the 'Patka Teva', which our elder Rebbe also signed - after examining him on the entire tractate of blessings:
