Rescue forces were called this evening (Sunday) to Rashi Street in the Haredi city of Elad and provided medical treatment to a 27-year-old man who was shot in a violent incident.
The injured man was evacuated in moderate condition, with penetrating injuries to his body, for further treatment at Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva.
David Abuzamil, Shmulik Barber and Ephraim Ziat, paramedics from the United Hatzalah, who were the first to arrive at the scene, said: "When I arrived at the scene, we noticed a 27-year-old man who had been injured in his limbs. We gave him initial medical treatment, which included an arterial tourniquet and stopping the bleeding, and he was taken to the hospital for further treatment, with his condition described as moderate.".
Rescue medic, Robby Klafholz, said: "When I arrived at the scene, I found a 27-year-old man suffering from penetrating injuries to his body after being injured in a violent incident. We provided him with initial medical treatment, including stopping the bleeding and applying bandages, and he was taken in moderate condition for further treatment in the trauma room at Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva.""
The police said: A report was received at the Israel Police hotline 100 about a violent incident in the city of Elad, during which a resident of the city was moderately shot, according to medical sources.
Police officers from the Rosh HaAyin police station in the Sharon area arrived at the scene, launched an accelerated investigation, and are conducting searches for suspects involved in the incident.
An initial investigation indicates that the background is likely criminal.
