Blue and White Party Chairman, MK Benny Gantz, said today (Thursday), in a conversation with Omri Assenheim on Channel 2 - referring to its difficult situation in the polls - that his party "has a public - it just doesn't know it.".
According to him, the moderation that characterizes his party has a demand among the public "of the order of magnitude of something like 15 seats.".
When Gantz was asked who his potential voters were, he said: "The entire sane public in Israel, if they are not partisan. I walk down the street and receive many requests like 'Don't stop,' 'You will win,' 'We think like you.' I want to present broad Zionist unity. I understand that the path is difficult, I understand even more that it is essential.".
Gantz even anticipated that he would receive criticism for his words in the interview: "Someone will read what we are talking about now and blabber on about it online: 'Benny Gantz, stop confusing people with blah blah blah,' I will try to convince as many people as possible.".
He added that he believes the center should concentrate into "one political organization that represents this idea - and can impose such a government.".
As for the rest of the road leading up to the elections, he said that he is working "to establish the 'Israeli bloc.' I am convinced that this is what we need and I am very concerned that if this does not happen, we will end up with a narrow government that relies on the Arab parties.".
