Towns station police foiled an attempted theft of protective gear over the weekend.
Upon receiving a report at the police headquarters about suspected loading of explosives at the entrance to the Al-Atrash tribe settlement, the station's police officers quickly arrived at the scene, located two trucks that were suspected of being used for the loading - and acted to stop the activity and thwart the theft.
During the handling of the incident, the two truck drivers, residents of Kasipa and Rahat, in their 20s, were arrested and detained at the Eyrat station for further treatment and investigation.
The commander of the Eirat station, Senior Lieutenant Colonel Yahav Siman, said: "The Eirat station police acted quickly and decisively upon receiving the report, and thanks to their immediate response, an attempt to steal life-saving devices and protect the public was thwarted.".
