According to a report today (Wednesday) in Haaretz, Tax Authority documents indicate a name change, while the ID card number remains the same.
According to the documents, Netanyahu's tax deduction certificates were issued in December 2024 under the name "Yair Netanyahu," while documents issued this year show the name "Yonatan Hun," alongside the same identifying details, including the address "Balfour 0.".
According to the publication, the documents from the Tax Authority constitute evidence of the name change, which was allegedly carried out over the past year and a half.
According to Israeli law, an official name change in the population registry is a procedure that can be carried out through the Ministry of the Interior, and after it is carried out, there is a seven-year limit until the name can be changed again, except in exceptional cases stipulated by law.
The Prime Minister's second son, Avner, also changed his name in recent years, when he purchased an apartment in England in a city near London under the name "Avi Avner Segal.".
