Police spokesman, Chief of Police Aryeh Doron, was asked today (Tuesday) in an interview on the program "Benyamini and Guetta" on Channel 2 who the police would obey in the event of a conflict between the government and the High Court of Justice - and refused to commit to siding with the High Court of Justice.

During the interview, Police Chief Doron was asked repeatedly about the expected position of the police in such a case - but insisted: "You gave an order to someone who the law requires us to obey.".

When asked why he doesn't answer clearly that the police will obey the High Court, he replied: "There is no law that tells me I have to answer (the question) in the way you want. I'm putting it in my own words.".
