Prime Minister Netanyahu visits IDF wounded at Rambam Hospital: "I am moved by your spirit. You represent the unity of the nation."
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu today (Tuesday) visited wounded IDF regular and reserve soldiers hospitalized at Rambam Hospital in Haifa for treatment of injuries they sustained during battles in the northern theater.
The Prime Minister was accompanied by the hospital's CEO, Dr. Michal Mekel, and the attending physicians, and also met with family members of the injured.
The Prime Minister spoke with each of the injured and heard the circumstances of their injuries and the medical procedures they underwent.
In response to the words of one of the wounded fighters, Yonatan, the Prime Minister chose to address the state of social cohesion in Israel and the perception gap, he claimed, between the public and the political arena.
""You are right about one thing, Jonathan - there is much more unity within the people than is later expressed in the Knesset. Much more unity - much broader, much deeper - and I believe that this is a good foundation for the future, and you represent that.".
