Police from the David area of the Jerusalem District arrested for questioning a resident of Ofakim in his twenties, on suspicion of tearing down an Israeli flag that was placed in the area of the Little Western Wall in Jerusalem - and throwing it in a trash can.
The suspect was arrested and brought for questioning at the police station.
The Jerusalem District Court released the suspect on conditions.
""The Israel Police view any harm to state symbols with great seriousness and will continue to act decisively, using all the tools at its disposal, with the aim of bringing those involved to justice and maintaining public order," the police statement said.
