Defense Minister Israel Katz posted a tweet in Persian in which he attacked the commander of the Quds Force of Iran's Revolutionary Guards, Esmail Qaani.
""Iranian Quds Force commander Qaani has been frequently issuing threats towards Israel recently. It seems that the image of a collaborator suited him much better than this ridiculous threat suit," Katz sneered.
The Defense Minister added: "Either way, if Iran attacks Israel, it will be its biggest mistake so far. No amount of provocations and shooting at the population will help it here. Nothing will stop us. Our forces are prepared to complete the job.".
The Quds Force commander threatened Israel on social media: "You must leave all of Lebanon. This country is a field of resistance and perseverance, not a playground for the occupiers. If you do not withdraw today of your own free will, you will be forced to flee tomorrow in humiliation and defeat.".
He mentioned Ehud Barak's escape: "Don't forget the year 2000 and the historic will of the martyr Hassan Nasrallah in Bint Jabil. This promise is still alive and there is no doubt that the same spectacle will repeat itself again.".
