Two drones launched by Hezbollah terrorists from Lebanon penetrated Israeli territory this morning (Sunday) and exploded in the Shlomi area in the Western Galilee.
The IDF said that the aerial targets fell in a military area, near the border, and not inside a civilian settlement.
The IDF statement stated: "Following alerts that were activated regarding the intrusion of hostile aircraft in several areas in the north of the country, two suspected aerial targets were identified falling on Israeli territory, near the border with Lebanon. There were no casualties and the incident is being investigated.".
Later, another drone exploded in a military zone in Israeli territory.
Political-Security Cabinet member and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich called for a strong response from Israel: "The firing at the northern settlements is a test of the Dachia equation that the Prime Minister announced.
""I call on him to implement it with determination and firmness and to take down buildings in Dahiya today. We are in critical days of shaping the space for many years. We promised security to the residents of the north and we must deliver!""
National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir announced that he would present his position in a discussion with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and call for a harsh response to any violation by Hezbollah: "For every drone - a missile. For every violation - fire. For every UAV - the Daesh should tremble. For every hair on the head of an IDF soldier - a thousand Hezbollah terrorists. In the face of terrorism, we do not contain, we are decisive!""
Defense Minister Israel Katz declared last week that "any attack on the northern settlements will lead to an attack on Dahiyya.".
