This afternoon (Friday), firefighters were dispatched from the Kiryat station after receiving a report of a fire at a store on 2 Rimmonim Street in the Haredi city of Rechsim.
When the crews arrived at the scene, a fire was detected in the back of the supermarket, which started in a nearby carton and spread toward the warehouse and the store.
The firefighters worked on two fronts simultaneously: they broke the store's locks using a disk, entered the smoke-filled building, conducted extensive searches, and evacuated the merchandise from the building in order to reach the source of the fire directly and take control of the fire.
Towards the end of the event, the forces were assisted by a tractor that arrived at the scene.
No injuries or people were reported trapped in the incident. Extensive damage was caused to the store and its contents.
