Tonight (Tuesday), at around 1:20 AM, a report was received at the ZAKA hotline about a 55-year-old man who was found lifeless in his home on S.Y. Agnon Street in Ashkelon - in an advanced state of decomposition.
ZAKA volunteers from the Lachish area - Ashkelon team were called to the scene and worked at the scene for hours, caring for the dignity of the deceased and collecting the remains.
Shmuel Davidi, Israel Deri and Nadav Zafarani, ZAKA volunteers from the Ashkelon team who treated the scene: "This is a difficult case. When we arrived at the apartment, we were exposed to a painful sight. A man about 55 years old who lived alone and died without anyone knowing about it in time.
""The deceased's sister located him after he did not answer his phone calls. She arrived at the apartment and found him lifeless, in an advanced state of decomposition. ZAKA volunteers from the Ashkelon team worked at the scene with great sensitivity to preserve the dignity of the deceased and collect the finds and bring them for burial.""
