The Police Investigations Department at the Ministry of Justice has opened an investigation against a police officer serving in Lahav Unit 433, on suspicion of contact with a foreign agent.
The Ministry of Justice stated that the investigation is being conducted following information received, which led to the initiation of proceedings against the police officer.
The policeman was detained yesterday for questioning at the police headquarters, where he was questioned with a warning.
At the end of the investigation, it was decided to release him under restrictive conditions, including house arrest.
The police clarified that the investigation is still ongoing.
Since the start of the war on October 7, dozens of Israelis suspected of having contact with Iranian agents have been arrested.
