Defense Minister Israel Katz delivered a speech today (Thursday) during a memorial ceremony for the families of fallen members of the Defense Ministry.
In his remarks, the minister issued a clear ultimatum to the Iranian regime, making it clear that Israel is prepared to dramatically escalate its military response - if Tehran continues on the path of confrontation and terrorism.
Katz described the current situation as a "historic crossroads" for Iran: "One path leads to renouncing the path of terrorism and nuclear weapons and choosing a future of stability and reconstruction, according to the US proposal. The other path leads to an abyss from which the Iranian regime will not be able to extricate itself.".
""This is their moment of choice - between a bridge to the future and an abyss of isolation and destruction - and we have destroyed and damaged all of Iran's strategic goals and capabilities, and if we need to, we will do it again.".
In a direct message to the Iranian leadership, the Defense Minister warned that the State of Israel has an extensive bank of targets that have not yet been exploited: "If the Iranian regime chooses the second path, it will very quickly discover that the targets we have not yet attacked are even more painful than the ones we have attacked - and we have attacked a lot. The choice is theirs and the consequences are theirs.".
