A 15-year-old boy was arrested last night (Thursday) on suspicion of throwing a bag of feces at the Cafe Besameta cafe in Jerusalem, as part of a struggle by ultra-Orthodox Jews against its activities on Shabbat.

According to a report by Shlomi Heller on i24 Channel, the Jerusalem Police are increasing forces and operational efforts to combat protests against the opening of the cafe that began last month, in order to maintain order.

Last Saturday, an ultra-Orthodox protest took place outside the cafe, for the fifth consecutive week. Clashes broke out after dozens of ultra-Orthodox people showed up to protest in front of the cafe. The demonstrators also clashed with police forces who were working to evacuate them.
