Qatar was disappointed by Hamas's decision to choose Khalil al-Hayya as the leader of the terrorist organization, after exerting pressure behind the scenes that Khaled Meshaal would take the position.
According to a report this evening (Tuesday) by Elior Levy on 'Kan Hades', Al-Hayya belongs to the Iranian axis, while Mashaal sees himself as part of the axis of Qatar and the Muslim Brotherhood.
Palestinian sources said that following Al-Hayya's election, Qatar decided to punish Hamas.

Hamas announced the election of al-Hayya to the position of head of the political bureau about two weeks ago.
