
A 56-year-old criminal lawyer was murdered today (Tuesday) in a shooting at his office on Moshe Levy Street in Rishon LeZion.
Rescue forces called to the scene performed medical examinations on him, but were forced to declare him dead at the scene.
The suspect in the act is one of his clients, a 23-year-old resident of Ramla, who was arrested hours after the incident. The suspect in the murder confessed to the act, but the gun he used has not yet been seized.
The lawyer and the suspect met for a few minutes before the murder. The victim's partner was in their office at the time of the shooting, heard gunshots, and found his partner shot in the head in his room.
According to a report in 'Kan News', the suspect was identified by investigators due to the discussion that took place between the two in the moments before the shooting.
The commander of the Central District Police said four shots were fired during the incident. "The customer was not satisfied with the service," he added.
MDA emergency medical technician Naftali Halberstadt and MDA paramedic Meir Binenfeld said: "We received a report of a man who was injured in a violent incident. We arrived at the scene and joined the police forces. We saw a man about 50 years old lying unconscious, without a pulse and not breathing, with a penetrating wound to his body. We performed medical examinations and unfortunately we were forced to declare him dead at the scene.".
Foster Foundation Elchanan Doev and Zvi Levin, United Hatzalah paramedics: "We were informed at the scene that he was injured in a violent incident. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead at the scene due to the nature of the severe injuries he suffered. United Hatzalah Resilience Unit teams are also providing psychological assistance at the scene due to the nature of the incident.".
