Journalist Dan Shilon was interviewed on presenter Sharon Gal's program on the i24 channel and refused to answer the question of why he shared a post comparing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to Romanian dictator Nicolae Ceausescu, who was executed in 1989.
""I dare to make the comparison because this is a prime minister who is not clean-handed. It seems to me that you are doing the work of a channel on behalf of someone. Let me speak on behalf of someone else," Shilon argued towards Gal.
The presenter didn't give up and asked for an answer to his question - and then Shilon began to belittle him. "Where did you learn communications that you repeat the same question a hundred times?""
Gal replied: "I think you said in the past in the corridors of Channel 10 that you like my show.".
Shilon erupted in anger: "Let me tell you, go study communications. Do you know you're a piece of shit? I have no other word. I'm telling you, let's talk about what's happening in Washington. You're a bunch of idiots.".
Gal continued to insist: "Do you think it's reasonable to compare Netanyahu to Ceausescu? When he flew to the United States on a diplomatic mission.".
Shilon replied: "I can define Netanyahu's trip to Washington in one word, and forgive me for the very unscrupulous word: it was one of the worst meetings EVER of any leader with the President of the United States.".
Gal wondered again: "Where does this hatred come from?""
Shilon replied: "There is no hatred for Netanyahu. I went a long way with him. I was in contact with him for many years at the beginning of his career. I enjoyed his knowledge and culture then. Until he broke down. You work with message boards. I have friends from the real right. Stop confusing the mind with your nonsense. Continue to serve your husband - Bibi's friend.".
