A moment of unity: At the end of an interview with National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir at a Channel 14 conference, interviewer Boaz Golan noticed that Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich was already waiting for the next interview - and invited the two to meet on stage.
The meeting took place today (Tuesday) against the backdrop of the two parties' apparent intention to run separately, after running on a joint list in the previous elections.
The two hugged and conveyed a message of cooperation.
Ben-Gvir sought to clarify that there is no rivalry between him and Smotrich: "We sit next to each other in the cabinet.".
Smotrich added: "They have been holding it right and fighting very hard for three years.".
In response to Shimon Riklin's comment that "they say they are at odds," Smotrich replied: "Don't believe the media.".
Ben Gvir added: "We love Prime Minister Netanyahu, we both appreciate him very much.".
