Hundreds of Border Guard soldiers in Judea and Samaria participated in a large-scale offensive operation, following the terrorist events that occurred over the past weekend, in which Benyahu Melat and Major Yuval Ezra were murdered.
The operation was conducted under the command of the commander of the Judea and Samaria Border Police, Lieutenant Colonel Niso Guetta, in cooperation with IDF forces and under the direction of the General Security Service.
The activity focused on thwarting terrorism, arresting wanted individuals, preventing disturbances, and protecting the communities and traffic routes throughout Judea and Samaria.
All Judea and Samaria Border Guard battalions participated in the operation, alongside professional units, including the undercover unit, the sabotage unit, and the force's Investigations and Intelligence Office.
During the operation, dozens of suspects were arrested, including wanted individuals suspected of involvement in terrorist activity, incitement to terrorism, stone throwing, and disorderly conduct.
The police stated that 8 of the wanted individuals were arrested in a targeted operation by the undercover unit, which was carried out under the direction of the Shin Bet.
In parallel with the offensive activity, Border Guard forces were deployed to protect the communities, secure traffic routes, and provide a rapid response to incidents throughout the region.
